Built by a runner who needed better coaching.
I've used a lot of running apps. Runna, Kiprun Pacer. I've spent hours typing into ChatGPT and Claude. Each had something good. None of them gave me everything I actually wanted.
The plan generators were rigid. They couldn't really adapt when life got in the way: full schedule, tired week, a knee acting up. Either I had to shuffle everything by hand, or the plan kept marching forward like nothing happened.
The chatbots were the opposite. ChatGPT could adapt to anything I told it, but it never pushed me. And the workflow was painful: talk to ChatGPT, copy the session into my Watch by hand, run, screenshot the results, paste them back into the chat, ask what to do next. Hours of friction every week.
What I wanted was something in between. A coach with real running science, that adapts to my life, that lives natively on my Watch. The Watch is built for sport. RunCadence is built around that.
It generates the plan with real adaptability built in. It pushes you when you can take it and backs off when you can't. It sends every session to your Watch as a guided workout. The app shows you what matters, not everything.
