Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and accept them without reservation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

RunCadence is an AI-powered running coach. The Service creates personalized training plans and provides coaching recommendations based on the information you share.

RunCadence is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a doctor before starting a new training program, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions. You train at your own risk.

3. Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for the security of your account and the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You may delete your account at any time from the app Settings.
• RunCadence may suspend or terminate accounts that do not comply with these Terms (see section 11).

4. AI coaching

RunCadence uses AI models to generate training plans and provide conversational coaching. While we make every effort to ensure relevance, AI-generated content may contain errors or approximations. Plans are suggestions based on the information you provide and guarantee no specific result (race time, weight loss, performance).

5. Health data

If you grant Apple Health access, RunCadence reads the training, health, and recovery data you authorize to enrich your training log and personalize coaching. You can revoke this access at any time in your iPhone Settings. Details on how your health data is handled are in our Privacy Policy.

Garmin connection through Stridee

The optional Garmin connection uses Stridee as a technical provider. Stridee may therefore appear on Garmin's authorization screen and in connected applications. RunCadence provides the plan and coaching; Stridee handles the Garmin connection for compatible workouts and the data you authorize. Garmin and Stridee services remain subject to their applicable terms.

This feature requires a compatible RunCadence version and the service to be enabled. Available measurements and workouts depend on the watch, permissions and third-party services; sending and importing may be delayed or interrupted. Check that the workout is on your watch before running. You can disconnect Garmin at any time. See the Garmin via Stridee guide and privacy policy for data exchanges and deletion options.

6. Subscription, billing, and refunds

New accounts receive 14 days of full RunCadence product access without starting a subscription. Subscriptions are sold, charged immediately, and managed exclusively by the Apple App Store, under the pricing terms displayed at the time of purchase.

• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next renewal.
• Cancellation is done directly from your iPhone Settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or from the iTunes Store. You retain access until the end of the current period.
• Refund requests go through Apple's process: reportaproblem.apple.com. RunCadence does not have access to your payment method and cannot process refunds directly.
• If you run into an issue with the app, write to support@runcadence.app; we will help with any Apple-side request.

7. Right of withdrawal

The withdrawal rights provided by consumer law remain applicable. Creating an account or simply using RunCadence does not, by itself, waive those rights.

An exception for the supply of digital content can apply only when its legal conditions are met, including your prior express consent to performance starting, acknowledgment of the loss of the withdrawal right, and the required confirmation on a durable medium. Apple's purchase terms apply to App Store purchases without limiting your statutory rights.

The 14-day account-based access period does not include an App Store purchase. For a subscription purchase request, consult Apple's process or contact us at support@runcadence.app.

8. Service availability

RunCadence is provided "as is" and reasonable efforts are made to ensure its continuity. RunCadence does not guarantee uninterrupted availability: scheduled maintenance, technical incidents, or failures of a sub-processor (Apple, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase, Strava, etc.) may cause temporary outages. RunCadence will strive to minimize their duration and impact.

9. Intellectual property

The RunCadence brand, the site, the application, their design, source code, and content are the exclusive property of Cadence (SASU) or of their respective rights holders. Any reproduction, modification, or distribution without prior written authorization is prohibited.

Your training data (plans, sessions, notes, messages) remains yours. You grant RunCadence a non-exclusive, free, and limited license to process it solely to provide the Service, under the conditions described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunCadence shall not be liable for any injury, health issue, or loss arising from the use of the Service or following AI-generated recommendations. You use the Service at your own risk.

RunCadence shall not be liable for indirect damages (loss of opportunity, loss of data, loss of profit) or for the consequences of a malfunction attributable to a third-party processor (Apple, Anthropic, etc.). These limitations do not apply in case of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or harm to rights that cannot be contractually limited.

11. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app Settings. Deletion triggers the erasure of your data under the conditions set out in the Privacy Policy.

RunCadence may suspend or terminate your access, after a formal notice unanswered for a reasonable period, in case of:

• violation of these Terms;
• fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of the Service;
• payment default;
• conduct that harms the security of the Service or other users.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Any material change will be notified to you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the new terms, you may cancel your subscription before that date.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute related to their formation, performance, or interpretation falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules (in particular the right to bring proceedings in the consumer's place of residence).

In accordance with Article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute unresolved after a written complaint, you may resort free of charge to a consumer mediator. The European consumer redress portal provides information on available redress options. This information portal does not replace the mediator responsible for your dispute.
